On April 6, voters in Fort Zumwalt School District will choose two members for the Board of Education. There are five candidates running for two seats, each a three-year term. Voters will vote for TWO. Candidates are listed in order they will appear on the ballot. All information below provided by the candidate.


Name: Tommy George, Jr.

Length of Residency in Fort Zumwalt School District: 14 Years

Education: St. Louis Prep North (1985), St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley, IBEW Trade School 

Children (including whether they are, or have been Fort Zumwalt students): 

Two in high school 

Membership in civic, professional organizations, etc.:

Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding StL 

Short statement about your reasons for seeking election to the Board of Education and your qualifications for this position: To give back to the community and serve to make a positive contribution. 


Name: Arnie C. AC Dienoff


Name: Michael W. MacCormack

Length of Residency in Fort Zumwalt School District: 25 Years

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, University of Kansas (1982), Master’s Degree, University of Missouri Science & Technology (1988), MBA Lindenwood University (2018)

Children (including whether they are, or have been Fort Zumwalt students):  

Three adult children, all of whom graduated from the district.

Short statement about your reasons for seeking election to the Board of Education and your qualifications for this position: Re-election. 


Name: Daniel Jared Hogan 

Length of Residency in Fort Zumwalt School District: 6 Years

Education: MSOM - Peru State College (2016), BAS - Peru State College (2013), Bachelor’s Degree, Ashworth College (2009), AAS Community College of the Air Force (2009)

Children (including whether they are, or have been Fort Zumwalt students): 

One in elementary school 

Membership in civic, professional organizations, etc.: Member VFW, American Legion, National Sojourners, Lafayette Lodge No. 16 (Manhattan, KS)

Short statement about your reasons for seeking election to the Board of Education and your qualifications for this position: My wife and I have been very pleased with our daughter’s experience in the district and we want to see that continue. But we would like to see some curriculum changes to account for different learning styles of children.
