Six Fort Zumwalt School District faculty have been selected to perform with members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra on Friday, Oct. 4 at Powell Hall. After an afternoon dress rehearsal, the teachers will take the stage at 7 p.m. The “Extra Credit” concert celebrates music educators from across the area by providing them the opportunity to perform side-by-side with members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. The following Fort Zumwalt teachers were selected:
DuBray Middle’s Katheryn Fenske (clarinet) and Chris Torretta (viola)
East High’s Jocelyn Garner (oboe) and Rick Padgett (trombone)
North High’s Jenina Kenessey (cello)
Progress South Elementary’s Stephanie Brueggeman (piccolo)
The concert is free and there is discounted parking. Contact St. Louis Symphony Orchestra to RSVP.
