K-2 Standards Based Grading
Proficiency scales are used to measure student work over time. Students are not expected to achieve proficiency (4) when a skill is introduced, but through instruction and practice the student should achieve proficiency over time. These scales (at left) help teachers track a student's progress in the specific skills they should acquire in each subject over the course of the specified grade level.
The scales are arranged by grade level, then alphabetically by subject, English Language Arts; Math; Science and Social Studies. Students also have the following posted in their classrooms to help them set goals for learning.
