PPE Principal's Corner -

March 2024

Dear Pheasant Point Families,

Your child may be coming home and saying that they have high schoolers visiting them at lunch. These students are high school students from West High or South High who are part of our Fort Zumwalt School District League of Leaders. They visit all students in the cafeteria one Friday a month during lunch. The high school students have leadership cards they have shared with our students. They talk with our students at lunch about their favorite habits, how they like to sharpen the saw or relax and find balance.  Students ask them about their high school or middle school career and learn about things they will have a chance to be a part of as they get older.

Your child also created their own Leadership Card through our Genius day! At Pheasant Point we believe all students have Genius. Every student has a strength, a way they love sharing their voice. We saw students dressed this day in dance outfits, with technology devices, in sports uniforms, with art projects, etc… It was amazing to hear students sharing what they have Genius in! Their cards are on display in the hallway for now but will come home with students closer to the end of the year.

I feel very thankful to be part of such an amazing community! Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Katie Orf
