When is the right time to enroll?
If you live in Fort Zumwalt and your child will be 5 years old on or before July 31, 2025, NOW is the time to enroll for Kindergarten. The Fort Zumwalt site is open. Use the buttons below for a how-to guide and the enrollment page.
Existing families should pay careful attention in the how-to guide for how to add another student to your family in our system. When you land on the Welcome to Fort Zumwalt School District page, after reading the information we have provided, a drop down called Forms will allow you to select the school year for which you are enrolling. Please be careful to select 2025-2026 to complete the proper forms for next school year. Get started using the buttons below.
What do I do?
Gather documents listed below and return to this page. Check out the How-To document linked above, then Click ENROLL NOW above and step through the guided process.
Proof of Parent/Legal Guardian Identification Driver’s license or other valid state/federal photo ID.
Student’s State Issued Birth Certificate
Complete Record of Immunizations Must comply with Missouri state law.
You will also need proof of residency. Two documents are required for you to complete this part of the process. (Some examples include your lease, your mortgage statement; your most recent gas, electric or water bill.) For a full list of acceptable documents, please visit our Providing Proof of Residency page.
Anything else?
Yes! Visit your school from 2 - 7 p.m., March 5, 2025.
Enrollment can also be completed at your school. We’ll have computers available and help for you through the process if you need it.

In August, families and students get acquainted with the school day at Kindergarten Orientation.
Kindergarteners get plenty of hands-on learning, including exploring our outdoor classrooms.
As early as Kindergarten our students learn how working together helps us all. These students collected for S-October.
Hands-on learning continues each day in math as students are encouraged to share their thinking with classmates and teachers.

Important Dates for 2025:
March 5, 2025 - Enrollment opens online. Click the enrollment ribbon in the banner of any of our websites. Then click Enroll.
Aug. 15, 2025 - Kindergarten Orientation. Your school will share details.
Aug. 18, 2025 - First Day of School.
Enrolling in March helps you get connected with your school and key contacts such as the administrators and nurse. It ensures you are receiving information about any events or activities for you and your student as we finish the 2024-2025 school year and move closer to the First Day of Kindergarten.
