The Board of Education has named Erin Williams as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective July 1, 2025. Williams joined Fort Zumwalt as the Director of Support Staff in July 2018. She has been an integral part of the district’s work to recruit and retain highly qualified staff in all categories. Prior to her work in Fort Zumwalt, Williams served as the President and CEO at the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and Industries. She also served as the President of the Wentzville Chamber of Commerce. Williams understands the competing forces in the job market and constantly seeks to provide FZSD staff with competitive pay and benefits as well as a work environment that is welcoming and rewarding.
“Erin is a champion for all employees in Fort Zumwalt,” says Dr. Henry St. Pierre, Deputy Superintendent. “She knows that recruiting, growing and retaining the best team members yields the best outcomes for our students and also helps to provide for a great place for us all to work every day.”
Williams’ commitment to public education goes beyond her work in Fort Zumwalt. For the past nine years Williams has been a member of the Wright City Board of Education where she has focused on creating the best working and learning environment possible for staff and students in the schools she grew up in and that serve her daughters.
“Each of us plays a role in meeting our mission,” Williams says. “We want to make sure everyone who works in Fort Zumwalt feels supported and understands their impact on our students and our community. All of the things that are in our mission for our students are also there for our staff. We want to be sure we help our staff members grow and that we equip each of them to excel.”
Williams has a Professional Human Capital Leaders in Education (pHCLE) certificate from American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) that recognizes a professional's advanced knowledge and skills in human resources management. In 2023 the Missouri Association of School Personnel Administrators (MO-ASPA) named Williams its Human Resources Administrator of the Year. Effective July 1, she replaces St. Pierre, who has been named the next Superintendent.
