Jeff Fletcher rejoins Fort Zumwalt School District as the Executive Director of Human Resources, effective July 1. Fletcher, who has served as the Principal at Francis Howell North High School since 2022, began his career as a math teacher in Rockwood before serving as a math teacher and volleyball coach at Fort Zumwalt South High. He went on in Fort Zumwalt to serve as an assistant principal at West Middle and North High. He is a 2004 graduate of Fort Zumwalt West High School and is excited to return to the Fort.
“It is like coming home,” he says. “It is where I graduated from. It’s where I have spent the majority of my career. I look forward to working with the administrative team under Dr. (Henry) St. Pierre’s leadership to understand the changes that have been put in place the past few years and how I can start to help from Day 1 with the strategic plan and the building improvement plans.”
Fletcher added that he is looking forward to the challenges and the opportunities that come with the district level role. “I am excited to work with all of the departments and employee groups across the district and look forward to the opportunity to support them as they help kids grow. It’s going to be fun.”
Fletcher earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Mizzou in 2008 as well as his Masters in Teaching, his Masters in Educational Administration, and his Educational Specialist degrees from Missouri Baptist University. His focus is on the people who make it possible for the district to educate, empower and equip students to excel. “I am looking forward to being a part of hiring, growing and supporting employees in all job categories,” he says. “It's my hope that I can effectively communicate the role each of us plays to ensure that every student is successful.”
With the promotion of Dr. Henry St. Pierre, the current Deputy Superintendent who oversees HR, to Superintendent in July and the subsequent move for Erin Williams from Executive Director to Chief Human Resources Officer, Fletcher’s hiring rounds out the department as hiring season picks up speed for the new school year.
“I am thrilled to have Jeff back in Fort Zumwalt and part of our HR team,” Williams says. “He brings great experience as a secondary administrator, knowledge of Fort Zumwalt, and a contagious enthusiasm for people and education.”
