SENIORS, stop by Dr. Wright's office on the 5th floor to check on your grad night ticket and share your T-shirt size. Many of you have already purchased a ticket during registration in the fall and you can still buy one now for $20.
Congratulations to Alice Zagromov on being named one of the Students of the Week for April 8th. Ms. Stowers states throughout this school year, Alice has been an absolute joy to have in class. Her kindness and thoughtfulness towards her peers and teachers make her stand out as a shining example of what it means to be a compassionate individual. Not only does she excel academically, but she also works tirelessly to maintain a healthy balance between her schoolwork and her life outside the classroom. It's evident that Alice approaches each day with a positive attitude and a determination to make the most of every opportunity. Her dedication to her studies and her commitment to being a well-rounded individual make her truly deserving of this recognition.
FZE Staff & Students experienced the Solar Eclipse on April 8th on the football field.
Reagan Carr was named one of the Students of the Week for April 8th by Ms. Bailey. Reagan is a ray of sunshine. She brings an energy to class that is irreplaceable. When she is absent, our class does not feel whole. Reagan has a smile that lights up the room and a laugh that is contagious. Her positive attitude speaks volumes to her character, and she is just a good human being. Reagan's ability to remain positive despite the challenges that she has faced is remarkable to me. She has been dealt hardships that no teenager should have to think about, yet she still leads a life full of kindness and optimism. Congratulations, Reagan!
Congratulations to Tyler Baxter on being named one of the Students of the Week for April 8th by Mr. Munro. Mr. Munro stated Tyler started the year struggling in math. He had trouble focusing, because of his previous poor experiences with math. Throughout the year Tyler has gained confidence, speaking in classroom discussions, reminding himself and other students to get "locked in" when taking notes and working on assignments. Recently he shared with the class that it's important to keep their grades up, because grades they get as a Freshman will follow them in their gpa, and could effect their chances at college admissions. This is a very mature attitude, one that not many upper classman realize. I am proud of how hard Tyler works to be successful.

Congratulations to Briar Laird on being named one of the Students of the Week for March 18th. Mr. Leibner has seen the remarkable growth Briar has shown from the beginning of this school year to this semester. He no longer gets a para with him every hour because of the growth he's made throughout the year. His classroom behavior and coping skills have expounded his diligence in self governance and effort.
Mrs. Loutzenhiser nominated Noah Hertzell for the Student of the Week for March 18th. Noah joined my class about mid-way through 1st semester. He worked so hard in class and never complained when I made the daily morning announcement of "Let's put our phones away and get to work." AND THEN I went to my mailbox this week and found my one and only Honor Roll certificate - the recipient - Noah Hertzell. I am so proud of you, Noah. Keep fighting the good fight, continue making good choices, and remember that I am always here if you need anything. Congratulations Noah!
Congratulations to Maya Harris on being named one of the Students of the Week for March 18th. Ms. Senseney said when Maya started at East High School she was very quiet and didn't talk much. As she has become more comfortable, Maya has really opened up with her classmates and teachers. Maya is a very kind student who looks for ways to be helpful to her teachers and friends. If Maya notices another student seems down, she will try to talk them and find ways to cheer them up. She enjoys making those around her smile and tries to find nice things to do for others. I have really enjoyed getting to know Maya and look forward to seeing all of the things that she can accomplish!

Mrs. Goodson nominated Alishbah Syed for Student of the Week for February 26th because she is such a hard worker in AP World History. She really wants to understand the content and is able to offer insights to certain areas of study because of her background. She is kind and thoughtful, is supportive of her classmates, and I appreciate her determination to succeed. Congratulations Alishbah!
