Welcome back! We hope you had a restful, relaxing Spring Break. We are ready for the fourth quarter of the 2022-2023 school year! Today is an A day at high schools, a B day at middle schools and a C day at elementary schools.


DESE’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Council is asking students, parents, business leaders, and educators to take five minutes to share your general perceptions of CTE programs in Missouri. Your responses will be kept confidential and will be aggregated with other responses to help the Council better understand how stakeholders see CTE in Missouri. Today some of our 5th graders went to the Weldon Spring Interpretive Center. They learned about the center and its function. They also learned about the states of matter, properties of matter, and physical and chemical changes.

Thank you so much to our Ms. Behrens and the FPE Book Club who hosted Breakfast and Books for teachers this week! Students organized breakfast, helped teachers make book selections, and rung up purchases. We have some amazing leaders at FPE!

Art Show Sneak Peek! Don't forget our FPE Art Show is tonight! Families are invited to come to FPE from 4:30-5:30 pm to view our amazing student art work! Every student will have at least one piece of artwork on display. The Book Fair will also be open at this time for families to come in and shop together. We look forward to seeing you soon!


We have many fun events this week at Forest Park beginning with the FPE Talent Show TONIGHT at North High School Auditorium! The show starts at 6:00 pm. On Thursday, we have the FPE Art Show and Book Fair for families from 4:30-5:30 pm. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

FPE 3rd graders have been learning about weather in science. Today, KSDK Chief Meteorologist, Scott Connell, came to share about the weather we experience in our area. If you watch KSDK tonight you might see a special shout out from FPE!

5th graders collected data about how many (plastic!) red and black ants they could pull out of mulch in 30 seconds. This led to a discussion about traits and their impact on survival.
