Forest Park students set a goal to reach 96% - 100% attendance for the week of September 25. If they meet the goal, students will get to splash Dr. Conway and Mrs. Mills at recess on Friday, September 30.

4th graders are busy scientists and mathematicians! Mrs. Day's students have been conducted a study examining birds' nests. Ms. Ferracane's students are learning about fractions and are communicating their evidence and reasoning about whether or not fractions are equivalent.

5th grade students are currently learning about plants in science class. This week, Ms. Madonia's class conducted an experiment to understand what plants need to grow and create matter.

Wow! We had an amazing turnout to the first ever JLM and FPE Back to School BBQ. Thank you to the O'Fallon Fire Protection District for hosting, and serving our families over 700 hot dogs! It was a beautiful, fun-filled night for our community!

Our transportation department works hard everyday to bring our students to and from school safely. This week, bus drivers are coming to FPE for safety presentations and to practice bus evacuations.

Ms. Wolk's 5th Grade Class was working hard on math centers this week practicing their multiplication fluency!

Do you have the time, experience and desire to step in to help make educational decisions for a child with an Individualized Education Plan when the child's parent is not available or cannot be located? Each year hundreds of Missouri students need a caring adult to serve as an educational surrogate. Learn how you can help: /o/fzsd/page/education-surrogates

This year the students in Ms. Hagl's class designed a class crest. This was made after research on colors and animals and lots of conversations and compromises. Their class motto this year is "Honor all. Build Success Together."

Third graders have been busy at FPE! Students are learning about plants and planting seeds in science, they are building their reading stamina, and they are developing their class mission statements.

5th graders have been busy this week! They have built spaghetti and marshmallow structures, played a team building game in PE, designed aluminum boats in Tech, and are using mental math strategies while playing partner games which practice math fluency.

Fourth graders are having a great start to the school year! They have been engaged in classroom activities and having fun playing games together during recess.

Students mixed water, dish soap, and sugar to create their bubble solution. The activity aimed to create bubbles that would bounce on a hand covered with a cotton sock or glove. They tried different ideas, including adding more soap, blowing slowly, and getting the sock wet.
