If your child has strep throat or other bacterial infection, they should stay home until they have been given an antibiotic for at least 24 hours and their healthcare provider has given them permission to return to school. We recommend that you seek medical care when your child is sick and follow your healthcare provider's recommendations about returning to school and other activities.
